This was a great experience for my dad and I, and we both are trying to take action to save our beautiful planet. I urge people who have taken the time to look at this story to take action with us. Educate yourself on how you can become part of the 2% solution to drive global warming to extinction - not our planet.

I look forward to reading the stories from many folks who attended the
Global Warming Day of Action on April 14th. But first, I'll share my story.
This day was many weeks in the planning, and so I woke up the morning of the
14th with a lot of excitement and nervousness. Would it all come together?
Would the speakers be on time? Would the wind be blowing too hard? But the
big question I kept coming back to was - would people show up?

They did. You did. And wow, what a success! The police officers on hand
estimated that we topped out at 5,000 people! That easily makes Saturday
one of the largest environmental rallies in Minnesota history.

My day was filled with answering questions, participating in interviews,
welcoming people, and making sure everything went smoothly. But my favorite
moments were when I had a few minutes to wander around, watching people
crowd around booths and exhibits, listen to workshops, engage in discussion,
and lounge on the grass enjoying the sunny day.

I know we all learned a lot, and I hope we were all inspired to take the
next steps. In the end it is up to us to be the solution to global warming.
And in the days and years to come, I hope many of us will look back on
Saturday as the beginning of something very powerful.
