I think people need to point out the other dangers of coal besides CO2. What about the health effects of coal pollutants like cadmium, arsenic, & mercury. Everyone is focused on the dangers of climate change, and pretending that the pollution problem no longer exists.

Ok, early thermometers were not great, but have you seen the data for CO2 in Ice Core samples, Oxygen Isotope data from Radiolaria shells, and changes in the earth’s orbit? These all line up and provide a nearly identical account of all the natural climate shifts of the last 2 million years.
But NOT the one we are currently on the precipice of: CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is higher than at any other point in recent geological time. And there is no other explainable source but humans.

I look at it like I do any sampling rates.
Higher sampling rates should be more effective at defining trends than lower ones.
